Thinking it was different but it’s just the same. pity.

What can be more important than the respect for the self?  The roots of who we are are how much we respect ourselves and how we respect the world in which we assimilate.  But if we can’t even respect ourselves, can we take on the world?  In hindsight, those who lose all respect for themselves prefer to take themselves to a better place.  Gain it or lose it. It will forever remain an emblem that defines who we are.

No more living behind a curtain. They know the truth and I can’t change that. Now I am, in their eyes, the epitome of a failure.  I can’t change what they know and can’t change the way I live my life..not now. So, does time really heal all wounds?
